제주를 대표하는 관광 콘텐츠 중 하나인 ㈔제주올레의 ‘제주올레길’은 제주를 기반으로 하는 콘텐츠인바 여러 부분에서 제주방언을 활용하는 모습을 보인다. 본 연구는 제주올레길에서 제주방언을 활용하는 유형을 살피고 그 현황을 비판적으로 재고하여 보완할 부분을 지목하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이에 먼저 제주방언권이 아닌 추자도 코스(18-1, 18-2)를 제외한 나머지 코스의 제주방언 활용 유형과 현황을 살펴서 ‘용어’, ‘문구’, ‘설명 내용’으로 활용되고 있음을 확인하였다. 그리고 이들을 비판적으로 재고하여 표기, 어법, 설명 등에 문제가 있는 경우를 발견하였고, 이에 대한 보완 요소를 크게 ‘표기 보완’과 ‘내용 보완’으로 나누어 다루었다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 표기에서는 /ㆍ/ 표기 방법, 방언형 표기의 일관성, 「제주어 표기법」과 사전을 바탕으로 하는 표기 등의 보완이 지목되었고, 내용 측면에서는 제시 방식, 제시 일관성, 정확성ㆍ적합성 등의 보완이 지목되었다.

This paper aims to scrutinize the utilization of Jeju dialect in Jeju Olle Trail, having been developed and maintained by Jeju Olle Foundation, and to point out some examples thereof that need to be reinforced. For this purpose, Chapter Ⅱ has analyzed the whole dialect uses found in every Jeju Olle route, except Route 18-1 and 18-2 that do not belong to the Jeju dialect area and classified them into three groups: terminologies for contents, phrases as in-content messages, and descriptive language for explanations. In Chapter Ⅲ, the critical reconsideration on the examples has found that supplementary measures should be taken against the current orthography, grammars, and methods of explanations, and they were grouped into orthographic factors and content factors. According to the analysis in Chapter Ⅳ, it was discovered that ⑴ the phoneme /ㆍ/, the consistency of dialectical notation, and the observance of the Orthography of Jeju Dialect in the spelling sector, and ⑵ the method of presentation, the consistency of explanatory depth, and the accuracy and suitability in terms of description should be reassessed and supplemented.
