연구목적 본 연구는 국립발레단, 광주시립발레단, 유니버설발레단, 서울발레시어터 인천시티무용단 등 5개의 발레단을 선정하여 이 단체들의 웹사이트를 비교 분석하여 그 속에 포함하고 있는 작품의 내용을 통해 한국 직업발레단의 작품경향을 분석하고자 한 것이다. 연구방법 발레에 대한 기본 정보를 전문서적이나 선행연구에서 탐색하여 바탕학문으로 두고 각 단체의 인터넷 홈페이지에 접속하여 사이트를 비교 분석한 뒤 사이트의 내용을 바탕으로 전문발레단의 작품경향을 파악하고자 한 질적 연구이다. 결과 첫째, 웹사이트 비교를 통해 비교적 규모가 큰 단체(국립발레단, 광주시립발레단, 유니버설발레단)는 발레단 소개, 발레단 사람들(예술감독, 단장, 아티스트 등), 공연정보, 후원회, 교육 아카데미, 발레단 소식 등의 구성이 잘 되어 있었으나 서울발레시어터는 예술감독이나 안무자에 대한 정보 및 공지사항, 뉴스레터 등이 활성화되어 있지 않았으며 인천시티발레단은 교육 프로그램이 준비되어 있지 않았다. 둘째, 최근 작품경향을 보면 국립발레단의 경우 대부분의 작품이 외국의 유명 레퍼토리를 가져와 공연하고 있었으며 광주 시립발레단과 유니버설발레단은 외국의 전통발레공연을 하지만 한국적 발레작품 개발에도 노력하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 서울발레시어터는 외국의 전통 클래식 작품보다는 창작화된 모던발레의 작품을 주로 공연하고 있었으며 인천시티발레단은 한국적 스토리를 가진 한국전통 발레극 개발에 주력하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결론 전문 발레단으로서의 5개 단체에 대한 기본 정보는 웹사이트를 통해 파악할 수 있었지만 각 단체마다의 특성은 부각되지 않고 사이트의 내용이 대동소이한 점이 아쉬웠다. 또한 국립 발레단에서의 한국발레의 정착을 위한 레퍼토리 개발에 주력하지 않은 점도 한국발레의 장래를 위해 고려되어야 할 사항이다.

Purpose This study compared and analyzed the websites of five ballet companies, including the National Ballet, Gwangju City Ballet, Universal Ballet, Seoul Ballet Theater, and Incheon City Dance Company. In addition, the purpose of this study was to analyze the work trends of Korean professional ballet companies through website contents. Methods Basic information on ballet was searched for in specialized books or previous studies, and the Internet homepages of each organization were accessed and the sites were compared and analyzed. And, based on the contents of the site, it is a qualitative study to understand the trend of the professional ballet companies. Result First,First, through website comparison, relatively large organizations (National Ballet, Gwangju City Ballet, Universal Ballet) had well organized information through their websites, but Seoul Ballet Theater and Incheon City Ballet did not have educational programs. Second, looking at the recent work trends, there are groups that bring and perform famous foreign repertoires, groups that mainly perform creative modern ballet works rather than traditional foreign classic works, And it is divided into groups focusing on the development of Korean traditional ballet plays with Korean stories. Conclusion Basic information on the five organizations as professional ballet troupes could be grasped through the website, but it was disappointing that the characteristics of each organization were not highlighted and the contents of the sites were largely the same. Also, the fact that the National Ballet Company did not focus on repertoire development for the settlement of Korean ballet should be considered for the future of Korean ballet.
