이 논문의 목적은 문병구 교수의 신학 사상을 정리하고 그 시사점을 찾아보는 것이다. 문병구 교수는 불트만의 신학을 비판적으로 수용하여 독자적인 신학 사상을 형성했다. 고린도 전후서 전문 연구가로서 바울 신학에 대한 독자적인 이해 위에 교회의 포용성, 인간 이해, 사도직, 종말론, 구원 등 교회에 관한 다양한 주제들에 대하여 조명하였다. 그리고 결국 바울 신학의 핵심이 사랑임을 강조한다. 그의 주장에 따르면 사랑은 교회의 기초이며 그리스도인의 신앙적 기초이다. 교회와 사랑으로 함축되는 문병구 교수의 신학 사상은 후대의 신학자들과 그리스도인들이 예수 그리스도의 사랑 안에서 교회와 함께 하는 삶을 살도록 안내한다.

The purpose of this paper is to organize Professor Byeung Goo Moon’s theological ideas and find their implications. Professor Byeung Goo Moon critically accepted Bultman’s theology but formed his own theological ideas. As a professional researcher in the Corinthians, on top of his own understanding of Paul’s theology, he shed light on various topics related to the church, including its inclusiveness, human understanding, apostleship, apocalypse, and salvation. And in the end, he emphasizes that love is the core of Paul’s theology. According to him, love is the foundation of the church and the religious foundation of Christians. Professor Byeung Goo Moon’s theological ideas implied by church and love guide later theologians and Christians to live a life with the church in the love of Jesus Christ.
