본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 온라인 사회자본이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향관계와 그 경로에서 개인내적 임파워먼트와 대인관계 임파워먼트의 매개효과에 초점을 두어 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 전국 7개 지역의 학교밖청소년지원센터를 이용하는 14세∼19세의 학교 밖 청소년 505명이다. 분석방법으로 구조방정식모형분석, 부트스트래핑, 팬텀모형을 이용한 다중매개효과 검증을 사용하였다. 분석 결과로 본 연구에서는 학교 밖 청소년의 온라인 사회자본이 삶의 만족도에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않고, 개인내적 임파워먼트와 대인관계 임파워먼트를 통해 간접적으로 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 온라인 사회자본의 형성 및 축적이 학교 밖 청소년의 임파워먼트를 높일 수 있으며, 이를 매개로 삶의 만족도가 향상될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 온라인 사회자본과 임파워먼트의 역할을 고려하여 학교 밖 청소년의 삶의 만족도 증진을 위한 정책적·실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of online social capital on life satisfaction among out-of-school adolescents, focusing on the mediating effects of intrapersonal and interpersonal empowerment in this pathway. The study participants were 505 out-of-school adolescents aged 14 to 19 who use out-of-school adolescents support centers in seven regions of Korea. Structural equation modeling, bootstrapping, and multiple mediation test using a phantom model were used as analytical methods. The results of the analysis show that the online social capital of out-of-school adolescents did not directly affect life satisfaction, but indirectly affected life satisfaction through intrapersonal and interpersonal empowerments. In other words, the formation and accumulation of online social capital can increase the empowerment of out-of-school adolescents, which can mediate the improvement of life satisfaction. Based on these findings, the role of online social capital is discussed and policy and practical implications are suggested for promoting life satisfaction among out-of-school adolescents.
