개혁주의생명신학은 백석학원과 백석총회의 신학적인 입장이다. 개혁주의생명신학은 개혁주의신학 이외의 신학을 주장하지 않는다. 개혁주의신학을 실천하자는 것이 바로 개혁주의생명신학이라고 할 수 있다. 이런 주장은 개혁주의생명신학의 7대 실천운동 가운데 하나인 하나님나라운동을 살펴볼 때 보다 분명해진다. 하나님나라운동은 “성령의 도우심으로 우리의 신앙과 삶의 모든 영역에서 예수 그리스도의 주되심을 실현하려는” 운동이다. 이런 하나님나라운동의 정의는 신학의 공공성을 천명하는 주장이며 이런 입장은 백석학원과 백석총회의 전신인 대한복음신학교와 복음총회의 설립 정신에 이미 잘 나타나있다고 할 수 있다. 대한복음신학교 설립목적은 “문화 창달”을 언급하고 있으며 복음총회 설립목적은 “일반 은총”을 언급하고 있는데 이는 카이퍼와 바빙크 계열의 신칼빈주의의 영향이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 신학의 공공성에 대한 관심은 특별히 2006년 『백석학원 신앙선언문』에 잘 개진되어 있는데 학교에서 공식적으로 채택되지는 못하였다. 이런 신학의 공공성에 대한 관심은 백석학원의 여러 교수들을 통해 지속적으로 이어져 오고 있는데 이런 관심은 신학의 관심이 협소화되지 않도록 해주어 개혁주의생명신학이 영지주의적인 성향을 띤다는 혐의를 벗겨준다고 할 수 있다.

Reformed Life Theology is the theological position of Baekseok Schools and Baekseok General Assembly. Reformed Life Theology does not claim theology other than Reformed theology. It can be said that the practice of Reformed theology is Reformed Life Theology. This contention becomes clearer when looking at the God’s Kingdom movement, one of the seven practical movements of Reformed Life Theology. The Kingdom of God movement is a movement “to realize the lordship of Jesus Christ in all areas of our faith and life with the help of the Holy Spirit.” The definition of the God’s Kingdom movement is an argument that proclaims the publicity of theology. This position is already well expressed in the spirit of the establishment of the Korean Evangelical Theological Seminary and the Gospel General Assembly, the predecessors of Baekseok Schools and Baekseok General Assembly. The purpose of the establishment of the Korean Evangelical Theological Seminary refers to “cultural cultivation,” and the purpose of the establishment of the Gospel General Assembly refers to “general grace,” which can be said to be the neo-Calvinistic theological influence of Kuyper and Bavinck. The interest in the publicity of theology is particularly well expressed in the 2006 Faith Declaration of Baekseok Schools, but it was not officially adopted by the schools. This interest in the publicity of theology has continued through various professors at Baekseok Academy, which prevents interest of theology from narrowing, freeing Reformed Life theology from being charged with gnosticism.
