본 연구의 목적은 장애인의 경제활동과 주관적 건강 상태와의 관계에서 주관적 우울감의 매개 효과 검증을 통하여 장애인을 지원할 수 있는 중요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구대상은 한국복지패널 16차년도 패널자료(2021)의 등록 장애인 1,251명 중, 경제활동을 고려하여 20세 미만과 국민연금 수령 연령인 61세 이상을 제외하였으며, 결측값을 갖는 사례를 제외한 총 229명을 분석하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 28.0 통계 프로그램과 Process Macro 4.1 프로그램을 사용하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 장애인의 경제활동은 주관적 건강 상태에 정적(+)으로 유의한 것을 확인하였고, 경제활동을 할수록 주관적 우울감이 낮다라는 결과를 확인하였다. 둘째, 경제활동이 주관적 건강 상태에 미치는 영향 관계에서 주관적 우울감의 부적(-) 부분 매개 효과를 검증하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 정책적인 제언을 다음과 같이 하고자 한다. 첫째, 장애인의 사회통합 촉진을 위한 경제활동참여를 높일 수 있는 정부의 적극적인 정책지원이 필요하다. 둘째, 장애인의 주관적 건강 상태를 높이기 위해서는 주관적 우울감을 낮추기 위한 적극적인 개입이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to provide an important basis for supporting people with disabilities by verifying the mediating effect of subjective depression on the relationship between economic activity and subjective health status of people with disabilities. The main results of the analysis are as follows. We found that the economic activity of people with disabilities was positively significant for subjective health status, and that the more economically active people were, the lower their subjective depression. Second, we test the negative partial mediation effect of subjective depression on the effect of economic activity on subjective health status. In terms of policy recommendations based on these findings, first, the government should provide active policy support to increase the participation of people with disabilities in economic activities to promote social integration. Second, active interventions to reduce subjective depression are needed to improve the subjective health status of people with disabilities.
