Since the port has an environment with mixture of various heavy equipment and workers, workers are always exposed to the risk of accidents. Currently, various studies have been conducted for the safety of port workers, but there is a lack of studies on the field suitability and effectiveness verification of the developed technology. Accordingly, this study proposes the previously developed port worker safety technology verification process and methodological framework to test. As a result of traffic simulation verification, the accident risk detection accuracy of the worker-equipment collision risk detection algorithm and the container work area approach detection algorithm was 72.2-88.8% and 80.1-96.5%, respectively, according to the different information collection cycles. As a result of GIS-based simulation verification, the accuracy of accident risk detection was derived as 100%. The result of the Busan Sinseondae Port field test shows that the accuracy of detecting worker accident risk and the success rate of estimating worker accident risk level were derived as 100% and 97%, respectively. This study is expected to provide references and guidelines for future verification of ports and similar work environments
