이 글은 2022 한문과 교육과정 신설 과목인 ‘한문 고전 읽기’ 교육과정의 성격과 목표, 내용 체계와 성취기준을 교육과정 개발자의 입장에서 좀 더 구체적으로 설명한 것이다. 한문과의 경우, 일반/진로 두 가지였던 선택과목 체제가 일반/진로/융합의 세 가지로 변경됨에 따라 ‘한문Ⅰ’과 ‘한문Ⅱ’의 구별이 사라지고 일반선택과목으로 ‘한문’을 개설하는 한편, ‘한문 고전 읽기’와 ‘언어생활과 한자’를 진로선택과목과 융합선택과목으로 각각 개설하였다. 또한 고교학점제의 본격 도입에 따라 별도의 이수경로를 설정하지 않았다. ‘한문 고전 읽기’는 일반선택과목의 심화학습 및 진로 탐색에 활용할 수 있는 신설과목으로 과목의 명칭이나 성격, 목표, 내용 요소 및 성취기준에 대한 오해나 혼선이 있을 수 있는 만큼 그 개념과 범주를 명확히 밝혔다. 또한 일부 성취기준의 경우, 수업 모형이나 교수학습 방법도 일부 제시하여 교과서 개발과 수업 장면에서 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.

This paper explains in more detail the characteristics, goals, content system, and achievement standards of the ‘Reading Classics in Chinese Characters’ curriculum, which is a new subject of the 2022 Classical Chinese curriculum, from the perspective of curriculum developers. In the case of Classical Chinese, the distinction between ‘Classical Chinese I’ and ‘Classical Chinese II’ disappeared and ‘Reading Classics in Chinese Characters’ and ‘Chinese Characters in Korean Language Life’ were opened as career elective subject and convergence elective subject, respectively. In addition, with the full-fledged introduction of the high school credit system, a separate completion route was not set. ‘Reading Classics in Chinese Characters’ is a new subject that can be used for in-depth learning and career exploration of general elective subjects, and there may be misunderstandings or confusion about the name, characteristics, goals, content elements, and achievement standards of the subject. Therefore, the concept and category were clarified in this paper. In addition, in the case of some achievement standards, some learning models and teaching and learning methods were presented so that they could be used in textbook development and class scenes.
