1920년대 중반 이후 만주지역에는 참의부, 정의부, 신민부 등 여러 독립운동단체들이 항일운동을 활발히 진행하고 있었다. 그러나 이들 단체들에게 가장 부족한 것은 항상 군자금의 모금이었고 이는 자신의 관할에 있는 재만동포들과 국내의 동포들에게서 구할 수밖에 없는 상황이었다. 참의부와 정의부와 마찬가지로 신민부 역시 그러하였다. 그러나 특히 국내에서 멀리 떨어져 있는 북만주지역에 위치한 신민부의 경우 국내에서 군자금을 모집한다는 것은 더욱 어려운 실정이었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 국내의 여러 동지들의 노력으로 신민부의 군자금 모금 활동은 활발히 이루어지고 있었다. 그 중 경상도 지역의 군자금 모금이 대표적인 것이었다. 경상도 지역의 군자금 모금의 중심인물들은 동일단체 출신 또는 혈연 또는 인척관계를 중심으로 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 군자금 모집의 핵심인물인 손양윤과 신현규는 1910년대 대한광복회에서 활동한 인물들이다. 이러한 점에서 볼 때, 신민부의 군자금 모금은 대한광복회의 연장선에서 볼 수 있는 특징이 있다. 중심인물들의 출신지를 보면, 경북 밀양을 중심으로 충북 괴산, 전남 담양 등 다양한 출신지를 가지고 있다. 그러나 밀양출신이 다수를 이루고 있다. 중심인물인 손양윤은 경북 달성 출신으로 의병 및 대한광복회 출신으로 연장자일 뿐만 아니라 항일투쟁경력도 많은 인사였다. 신민부 군자금 모집은 1926년부터 1928년까지 3년 동안 총 10회에 걸쳐 경상도지역을 중심으로 성공적으로 이루어졌다. 이것은 군자금 모집 사례 가운데 상당히 성공적 사례가 아닌가 보여진다. 군자금 모금은 밀양의 김태진에게서 모금한 액수가 3,000원으로 제일 큰 액수였다. 신민부는 국내 특파원들을 통하여 1926년부터 1928년까지 경상북도 지역에서 군자금을 모집하고 있다. 이것은 신민부 국내 군자금 모금의 한 부분이라고 생각된다. 사실 신민부의 주요 구성원인 김혁, 김좌진 등이 경기도와 충청도지역 출신인 점을 감안한다면 신민부의 국내 군자금 모집은 경기도, 충청남도 등지에서 보다 활발히 전개되었을 가능성도 크다. 앞으로 이들 지역에서의 군자금 모집 활동 또한 살펴볼 필요가 있을 것 같다. 본 연구를 통하여 만주지역에서 활동하던 독립운동 단체들의 국내 군자금 모금 방법 및 내역 등이 보다 구체적으로 밝혀지기를 기대해 본다.

After the mid of 1920’s, there were several organizations for the Korean independence movement in Manchuria, such as Chamoibu, Jungoibu and Sinminbu, which actively participated in anti-Japanese movement. However, since these organizations always suffered from the lack of war fund, they should raise the war fund from countrymen in Manchuria and in Korea who fell under the authority of these organizations. In the case of Sinminbu, it is very difficult to raise war fund from Korea, because Sinminbu was so far away from Korea. Nevertheless, the activity of collecting military funds of Sinminbu was conducted actively by the effort of many men of the same mind in Korea. Among these, the collecting military funds in Kyungsang-do was representative. The central figures of collecting funds in Kyungsang-do was from the same organization or same blood relationships or relation by marriage. SonYangYun and ShinHeonGyu who were key figures in collecting military funds worked in DaehanKwangbokhoe in 1910’s. In this sense, the activities of collecting military funds of Sinminbu was an extension of those of DaehanKwangbokhoe. In the respect of central figures’ hometowns, they were very various, such as Goesan in Chungcheongbuk-do, Damyang in Jeollanam-do and Miryang in Gyeongsangbuk-do. But those of who were from Mirang were majorities. SonYangYun, who was one of the central figures, army raised in the cause of justice and member of DaehanKwangbokhoe from Dalseong in Gyeongsangbuk -do, had a lot of career of anti-Japanese struggle as well as their elder. The collecting military funds of Sinminbu was successfully conducted over 10 times around Gyeongsangdo for 3 years, from 1926 to 1928. It is regarded as very successful example of collecting military funds. The biggest amount of collecting military funds was 3,000won raised from KimTaeJin in Miryang. Sinminbu was raising military fund in Gyeongsangdo from 1926 to 1928 by correspondent in Korea. It is seen as a part of collecting military funds in Korea of Sinminbu. In fact, considering KimHyuck and KimJwaJin who were central members of Sinminbu were from the Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do, there is a possibility that the collecting military funds of Sinminbu was conducted more actively in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do. It is need to examine the activitise of collecting military funds in these areas. Through this study, it is expected that the methods and details of collecting military funds of organizations for the Korean independence movement in Manchuria were exposed specifically.
