유가철학의 특징은 크게 다음의 여섯 가지를 말할 수 있다. 유가철학은 체용이론과 체용논리를 사유 방법, 서술 방법, 타인 설득, 추측, 추리 등에 사용한다. 선천(先天)에서 후천(後天), 천(天)에서 개체(個體)의 순으로 서술한다. 성선설(性善說)을 주로 한다. 본질적 정의가 아닌 체용이론식으로 정의한다. 유가철학은 음양의 결합체인 통체(統體)가 스스로 용(用)을 통제하는 일본설(一本說)이다. 인의(仁義)가 발현할 때 상황에 맞춰 다시 등급을 매기는 예(禮)를 중시한다. 유가철학은 서양철학과 달리 거대 담론에 몰두하지 않고 실제 생활 속에서 어떻게 실천하고 실현할 것인지를 먼저 생각하면서 이론화한다. 이것이 바로 하학상달(下學上達)이다. 맹자는 이러한 것들을 충분히 소화하고 체용논리를 사용하여 화려하게 설명하였다. 이에 맹자철학은 상대에게 반박의 여지를 주지 않는 치밀한 철학체계를 갖추게 되었다. 이 논문에서 맹자의 체용논리 활용을 분석함에 있어 체용이론만 활용한 것과 체용논리도 활용한 것으로 크게 나누고, 다시 예를 들고 분석하였다. 체용이론만 활용한 것은 다시 현미론을 활용한 것과 체용론을 활용한 것으로 나누었다. 체용논리도 사용한 것 중에는 현미론에서 바로 논리로 연결한 것, 체용론에서 논리로 연결한 것, 세 가지를 모두 갖춘 것이 있다. 여기서 맹자가 체용이론과 체용논리를 매우 적극적으로 활용하였을 뿐만 아니라, 그 발전에 크게 이바지하였음을 알 수 있다.

The characteristics of Confucian philosophy can be largely stated in the following six ways. Confucian philosophy uses the CheYong law(體用理論) and CheYong logic for thinking, description, persuasion, speculation, reasoning, etc. Confucian philosophers describe things in the order from Previous heaven to Later heaven, and from heaven to the individual. They mainly focus on doctrine of innate goodness. They define it not by essential definition, but by CheYong law. It is a one-root law(一本說) that the wholeness(統體), a combination of Eum and Yang(陰陽), controls the Yong on its own. When benevolence(仁) and righteousness(義) are expressed, the propriety(禮) is used to re-rating according to the situation. Unlike Western philosophy, Confucian philosophy theorizes how to practice and realize in real life without being immersed in huge discourse. This is what reaches the highest CheonRi(天理) by studying ordinary things. (下學上達) Mencius fully digested these things and explained them splendidly using CheYong logic. As a result, Mencius philosophy came to have an elaborate philosophical system that did not leave room for refutation. In this paper, in analyzing the use of Mencius' CheYong logic, it was largely divided into using only the CheYong law and also using the CheYong logic, and they are analyzed again with examples suitable for this. The use of only CheYong law was again divided into things using HyeonMi principle(顯微論) and things using CheYong principle(體用論). Among the things that also use CheYong logic, there are things that connect directly from HyeonMi principle to logic, things that connect from CheYong principle to logic, and things that have all three. Here, it can be seen that Mencius not only used CheYong law and CheYong logic very actively, but also contributed greatly to its development.
