이 연구는 최근 능력주의 담론 혹은 공정 담론을 핵심 근거로 활용하며 등장하는 소위 젠더갈등의 양상을 여성주의 관점에서 분석하고자 하는 시도에서 출발한다. 나아가 동시대 젠더갈등을 발현시키는 경제적 가상을 규명하고자 하였다. 최근 등장하는 젠더갈등의 양상은 ‘타고난 차이’라는 범주에 주목하고, 여성을 ‘타고난 조건으로 가치를 창출하는 불공정한 불로소득자’로 정의하는 점이 특징이다. 현실에서 남성들이 호소하는 불공정하다는 감각은 여성의 몸이 남성의 그것과 달리 스스로 미래 수익을 발생시키는 자산으로서 기능한다는 지점에 보다 착목한다. 여성의 몸에 대한 인식변화는 투자 기회를 공정하게 얻지 못한 투자자 주체라는 남성들의 자기 인식에서 기인하는데, 본고는 이러한 불공정 감각의 배경에 자산화를 중심으로 한 자본주의의 변화와 주체화 양식이 자리한다고 보았다. 노동시장 환경 변화와 맞물려 교환가치가 없는, 다시 말해 ‘돈을 벌 수 없는 몸’을 가진 이들의 불공정 감각은 보수화된 온라인 공론장과 만나면서 여성들을 자신들이 보유하지 못한 ‘자산으로서의 몸’을 가진 불로소득자로 인식하고, 자신은 불공정의 피해자로 간주한다는 것이 이 연구의 분석이다. 이처럼 이 연구는 최근의 능력주의 담론을 위시한 젠더갈등 양상을 여성의 몸에 대한 투자자 관점의 인식 변화와 이를 작동시키는 새로운 축적 체제로부터 도출하고자 한 의미가 있다.
This study starts with a feminist attempt to analyze the gender-conflict based on the recently emerged meritocracy or fair discourse. Furthermore, this study tries to find economic virtual, which expresses gender-conflict, commonly considered an axis of modern social problems. The latest aspect of gender-conflict is characterized by paying attention to the “born differences” category and defining women as “unfair rentiers who create value under innate conditions.” In reality, the unfairness that men complain of is more focused on the fact that, unlike men, women’s bodies function as assets that generate future profits. The change in understanding of the women’s body stems from men’s self-awareness, who have yet to obtain fair investment opportunities. This research found the changes in capitalism and subjectification formed around assetization in the background of men’s sense of unfairness. According to changes in the labor market environment, men’s unfair sense of without exchange value, or “body that does not make money,” met the conservative online public sphere. And men recognize women as rentiers with “bodies as assets” that they do not have and consider themselves victims of meritocracy. This study is meaningful in analyzing gender-conflict situations, including recent meritocracy discourses, from changes in the perceptions of women’s bodies and the changed accumulation system that operates it.
