This study is designed to evaluate the stability of the visual function(visual keenness at near and far, refractive error, contrast sensitivity, glare) after excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy(PRK) for treating myopia. All twelve eyes with mild to moderate myopia were prospectively reviewed. Visual function was measured before and 12 months after PRK. Mean refractive errors 1 yr after PRK were +0.11D(-1.5~+0.5D). The visual keenness at far and near and glare function were not reduced after PRK. But contrast sensitivity at 3, 6 cpd was reduced within normal range after PRK(p<0.05).
