본 논문는 국가무형문화재 <동래야류>의 전승 및 연행대형이 어떻게 변화되었는지를 제2과장 양반과장의 연행대형과 말뚝이 춤사위를 중심으로 연구하였다. 동래야류의 유래에 관한 문헌이 거의 없어 정확하게 알 수 없으나, 1870년 후반 공연되었다는 기록이 있어 150~160년 이상 된 역사 깊은 문화유산이다. 일제강점기인 1935년 문화 탄압으로 중단되며 전승의 맥이 끊어졌다가, 1946년에 복원되었으나 다시 중단되었고 1965년 재정비되어 1967년 무형문화재로 지정되었다. 무형문화 유산은 전승 과정에 새로운 문화적 요소가 개입되고 학습 과정 중에도 변화가 이루어진다. 동래야류 역시 전승 및 연행과정에서 기존의 원형(原形)이 바뀌며 서서히 전형(典形)의 형태로 변화되어가고 있다. 본 논문은 동래야류의 춤사위와 연행 형태가 어떻게 변화되었는지 제2과장 양반과장의 연행대형과 말뚝이의 춤사위의 변화양상을 분석하여 동래야류 전승에 의한 변화를 연구하였다.

This study examined the transmission of Dongnae Yaryu, a national intangible cultural property, and change in its performance formation focusing on the performance formation and dance moves of Malttuki in the second Gwajang, Yangban Gwajang. There is little literature on the origin of Dongnae Yaryu, so it is not known exactly; however, there is a record that says it was performed in the late 1870s which tells us it is a cultural heritage with a long history of more than 150 to 160 years. In the year of 1935 during the Japanese colonial era, the vein of its transmission was cut off for the cultural repression, but it was restored in 1946 but again discontinued. It came to be reorganized in 1965 and then designated as an intangible cultural heritage in 1967. Intangible cultural heritages tend to include new cultural elements in the process of transmission and also change during the process of learning. The original form of Dongnae Yaryu also has been changed in the process of transmission and performance gradually into its typical form. To look into the change in the dance moves and performance forms of Dongnae Yaryu, this study analyzed the change in the performance formation and the dance moves of Malttuki in the second Gwajang of Yangban Gwajang and investigated the change according to the transmission of it.
