연구 목적: 이 연구는 맘충이 2008년 촛불광장의 주역이었던 젊은 엄마에 대한 호명 어휘인 ‘유모차 부대’의 의미가 변질되어 가면서 출현한 것으로 보고 이를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 2008년 집회 당시 보수 언론과 진보 언론의 기사, 학계의 논의, 2008년 이후 언론 매체 기사 및 네이버 카페에 나타난 유모차 부대에 관한 담론을 분석하였다. 연구 내용: 2008년에 ‘유모차 부대’는 새로운 정치 주체, 생활정치의 주체라는 의미로 사용되었지만 이후 유모차 부대는 젊은 엄마들이 내적 친밀감을 느끼는 어휘, 젊은 엄마를 지칭하는 단순 대명사 등으로 사용되다가 점차 나쁜 양육을 행하는 민폐맘을 뜻하는 비난어로 변질되어 갔다. 결론 및 제언: ‘유모차 부대’는 그 의미가 변질되어 가면서 취업 엄마와 전업 엄마, 좋은 양육과 나쁜 양육으로 모성을 분리하는 결과를 가져왔다.

This study attempted to clarify the point of view that Momchung appeared because the meaning of Yumochabudae, that word called young mom who was the center of the Candlelight Square in 2008, had deteriorated. I analyzed the articles of the conservative press and progressive press and the discussion of academia at the time of the 2008 rally, the discourse about Yumochabudae that appeared in the media articles and Naver cafe after 2008. In 2008, Yumochabudae meant a new political subject, the subject of living politics. However, Yumochabudae was used as a word for young mom to feel internal intimacy and a simple pronoun, and it turned into a hateful word, that called a rude mom who practices bad parenting. As the meaning of Yumochabudae deteriorated, it resulted in separating job mom and full-time mom, separating good nurture and bad nurture.
