본 연구는 어떤 국가에서의 불확실성이 국가 간 투입-산출 연관관계를 통해 다른 국가의 생산에 영향을 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 또한 투입과 산출 연관관계로 분리하여, 불확실성을 해외 중간재 조달 불확실성과 생산물 해외 판매 불확실성으로 구분하고 각각의 이질적 영향을 분석하였다. 아울러 특정 시점에 발생한 사건 또는 사안의 부정적 영향은 해당 기간에 한정되지 않고 지속된다는 점을 고려하여 불확실성의 동태적 파급효과를 분석하였다. 1995-2018년 59개국을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 국내 불확실성, 해외 중간재 조달 불확실성과 생산물 해외 판매 불확실성은 모두 생산에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 생산물 해외 판매 불확실성의 부정적 영향은 단기간에 그치는데 비해 해외 중간재 조달 불확실성이 생산에 더 오래 지속될 뿐만 아니라, 부정적 효과도 가장 큰 것으로 분석되었다.

This study investigates the dynamic spillover effects of global uncertainty on the domestic production, with a focus on how uncertainty in one country transmit to the other countries. Furthermore, considering that the differential impacts of uncertainty via input and output linkages, we distinguish between the spillover effects of intermediates sourcing uncertainty and those of output sales uncertainty. In addition, because the negative impacts of uncertainty last over time rather than all at once, this paper explores the dynamic cumulative effects of uncertainty on the production. Using a panel data of 59 countries for the period 1995-2018, this paper finds that both foreign and domestic uncertainty have negative and significant impacts on the production. In particular, intermediates sourcing uncertainty are more dominant than domestic uncertainty and output sales uncertainty in influencing production activities.
