본 연구는 통합 환경에서 적용한 상황이야기 적용이 자폐성 장애를 지닌 유아와 일반 유아의 사회적 상호작용에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해서 일반 어린이집에 통합되어 있는 자폐성 장애를 지닌 유아 3명과 같은 학급의 일반 유아들이 참여하였으며 대상자간 중다기초선 설계 방법을 적용하였다. 연구자는 어린이집의 일과 중에 진행된 책읽기 활동 시간에 대상 유아에 따라 개별적으로 제작한 상황이야기 책을 자폐성 장애를 지난 유아와 함께 읽고 자유선택활동 시간에 나타나는 일반 유아들과의 사회적 상호작용을 측정하였다. 연구 결과, 상황이야기 중재는 자폐성 장애를 지닌 유아와 일반 유아의 사회적 상호작용을 증가시켰으며 중재가 종료된 후에도 유지되었다. 따라서 상황이야기 중재는 자폐성 장애를 지닌 유아와 일반 유아의 사회적 상호작용을 촉진하는데 효과적이라는 것을 알 수 있으며 통합 환경에서 중재를 적용하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether social story intervention increases social interaction of young children with autism and young peer children in integrated setting. This study used multiple baseline across subjects. The researcher read different social story books to three different participants during snack breaks. Evaluation was made for ten minutes after free play time, in which partial interval time sampling was used. The evaluation was made before interventional. Four weeks after the interventions were completed, maintenance effects were evaluared in the same setting as the baseline condition. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The frequency of three participants" social interaction was low during free play time but was increased after social story intervention. 2. The increased frequency of the participants" social interaction by social story was maintained. This study shows that social story intervention under integrated setting can effectively increase the social interaction of young children with autism. This study verifies results of former study that social story intervention selected for each participant was shown to increase social interaction of children with autism. Furthermore, this study extends results of former study in the way that the interventions was made in integrated setting not in segregated setting.
