본 연구는 국내의 연안 여객터미널 18개를 대상으로 효율성 분석하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. DEA 분석 방법 중 CCR, SBM, DEA-Window 분석을 통해 방사형 모형과 비방사형 모형을 살펴보았을 뿐만 아니라 2017년부터 2021년까지의 효율성 변화를 확인하였다. 분석 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, CCR 분석 결과 인천(연안), 홍도, 울릉(사동) 여객터미널의 효율성이 높게 도출되었고, 대천, 녹동, 나로도 여객터미널의 효율성은 전반적으로 낮게 형성되었다. 둘째, SBM 분석 결과를 살펴보면, 인천(연안), 홍도, 울릉(사동) 여객터미널의 효율성이 높았고, 대천, 녹동, 나로도 여객터미널의 효율성이 가장 낮았다. 셋째, DEA-Window 분석 결과, 효율성의 평균이 지속적으로 상승하는 여객터미널은 포항, 제주(연안), 부산 연안 여객터미널로 나타났다. 분석 결과는 정부 및 여객터미널 관리 운영자에게 여객터미널의 효율성을 높이는데 가이드라인을 제시한다는 점에서 시사점을 갖는다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the efficiency of 18 domestic coastal passenger terminals. Through CCR, SBM, and DEA-Window analyses among DEA analysis methods, not only radial and non-radial models were examined but also changes in the efficiency over a period of 5 years were checked. The results of the analysis are reviewed as follows. First, based on results of the CCR analysis, the efficiencies of passenger ship terminals in Incheon (coastal), Hongdo, and Ulleung (Sadong) were high, and the efficiencies of passenger ship terminals in Daecheon, Nokdong, and Narodo were generally low. Second, on reviewing the results of the SBM analysis, it was found that the efficiencies of Incheon (Yeonan), Hongdo, and Ulleung (Sadong) passenger ship terminals were high, and the efficiencies of Daecheon, Nokdong, and Narodo passenger ship terminals were the lowest. Third, as a results of the DEA-Window analysis, the passenger ship terminals of which the average efficiencies continued to rise were found to be Pohang, Jeju (coastal), and Busan Port coastal passenger ship terminals. The analysis results have implications in that they provide guidelines for improving the efficiency of passenger ship terminals to the government and passenger ship terminal management operators.
