본 논문은 기독교적 관점에서 오늘날 어떠한 입장을 취해야만 기독교의 근본 가치를 훼손시키지 않으면서도 상대적 취향을 중요하게 생각하는 현대인들에게 의미 있는 메시지를 던질 수 있는지, 그리고 객관적 기준이 사라진 현대의 갈등 문제 해결에 어떠한 도움을 제공할 수 있는지를 다룬다. 이를 위해 취향의 문제를 역사적으로 조망함으로써 취향 개념을 분석하고 그 내재된 의미를 파악하는 동시에 성경에 나타난 인간의 품성과 취향의 관계를 살펴본 후 현대적 갈등문제의 해결책을 제시한다.

This paper is a try to resolve conflict between various tastes, which are under the influence of subjectivism, from Christian point of view. In order to do it, firstly, I will look into the origin of the concept ‘taste’ and its developments. After that, I will identify good taste with virtue and show that Christian virtues play the same role as tastes by revealing that there are belief-systems behind both tastes and virtues. Finally, I will explore the possibility of conflict resolution between tastes through comparing belief-systems.
