본 연구는 한국과 일본의 대학생을 대상으로 공격적인 발화가 어느 정도 상대방의 사회적 가치를 위협하는가, 즉 공격적 발화에 대한 불쾌감과 그에 대한 반응을 분석했다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. ● 공격적 발화에 대한 반응으로 양국은 공통적으로 불쾌감이 높아짐에 따라 반응도 격해지지만 한국이 일본보다 격한 반응을 보였다. ● 일본은 사회적 힘 관계보다 청자의 책임 유무가 반응 선택에 중요한 요인으로 작용하는 반면 한국은 청자의 책임 유무뿐만 아니라 사회적 힘 관계도 중시하는 경향이 나타났다. ● 양국 모두 여성이 남성보다 공격적이 발화에 대한 불쾌감이 높게 나타나는 경향이 보였다.

This study analyzed the degree of aggressive speech threatening the social values of conversation partners or displeasure with aggressive speech and reactions to it in Korean and Japanese college students. The analysis results were as follows: ● Both Korean and Japanese college students showed more fervent reactions to the growing displeasure with aggressive speech, but the former was more fervent than the latter. ● Whether the listener was responsible or not worked as a more important factor in the choice of a faction in Japan than social power relations. In Korea, they tended to place importance on social power relations as well as the responsibility of the listener. ● Both in Korea and Japan, women tended to have greater displeasure with aggressive speech than men.
