본 연구는 2005년도부터 2016년까지 수행된 국내 유아 인권교육 관련 연구 동향과 추후 연구 방향을 분석하고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 유아 인권교육관련 국내 논문 17편의 학술지 논문을 선정하여 연구시기 및 연구 유형에 따른 일반적 동향을 살펴보았고 연구의 유형에 따른 연구 내용의 특성을 분석하였다. 또한 분석 연구에서 제시하는 유아 인권교육 연구의 추후 연구 방향을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 유아를 대상으로 한 인권교육관련 연구는 수적으로 매우 부족하여 추후 유아 인권교육에 대한 연구의 실행과 효과 검증이 활발히 이루어져야 할 필요성이 있음이 나타났다. 연구 유형은 다양하게 나타났으나 인권교육 프로그램 개발 관련 연구는 매우 부족한 것으로 나타났고, 유치원 일과 안에서의 인권교육 실현을 위해 누리과정 연계 인권교육 프로그램의 개발과 교육방법 매뉴얼 제작이 매우 필요함이 나타났다. 질적연구 분석 결과, 인권교육 활동에 시대적 상황과 요구를 반영하는 인권 요소를 포함하고 누리과정 운영 시 인권 범주의 요소들이 균형 있게 실행되는 것이 필요함이 나타났다. 실험연구에서 활용된 독립변인은 대부분 최근의 인권 관련 연구들이 제시하는 바와 같이 학습자의 경험과 관련된 직접적인 활동을 통해 인권 존중의 가치를 내면화하고 인권 친화적 행동을 습관화하는 교수방법과 활동을 사용하였고, 종속변인은 이와 맥을 같이하여 유아의 태도와 행동적 측면의 변화에 관심을 두고 있었다. 본 연구는 또한 연구결과를 토대로 최근까지 거의 관심을 받아 오지 못한 장애 유아 인권교육의 실행 방법론에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends related to human rights education for young children conducted from 2005 to 2016 and to suggest future research directions. As a result, researches on human rights education for young children are very inadequate and it is necessary to carry out researches on effects of human rights education for young children and to verify their effectiveness. Although research types were various, research on the development of human rights education program was found to be insufficient It was found that it is very necessary to develop human rights education program linked to the NURI curriculum and to fabricate a manual of educational method to realize human rights education in kindergarten. As a result of the qualitative research analysis, it was revealed that human rights education activities should include human rights factors that reflect the situation and needs of the times, The independent variables used in the experimental study are mostly teaching methods and activities that internalize the value of respecting human rights and habituate human-friendly behavior through direct activities related to the learner's experience, as suggested by recent human rights studies. Dependent variables were related to the change of attitude and behavioral aspect of infants. This study also suggested the direction of follow-up research for the human rights education for infants and based on the results of this study, we discussed the methodology of human rights education for children with disabilities that have not received much attention until recently.
