본 연구의 목적은 최근 도덕교육수업 방법 중 하나로 활용되어오고 있는 도덕이야기 모형에 대한 연구들을 분석하고 개선 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 최근 진행되어온 도덕이야기 관련 연구들을 검토하고 도덕이야기 모형을 적용한 국내외 실행연구들을 리뷰한 후, 도덕교육에 대한 시사점과 최적화된 도덕이야기하기모형의 개선 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구자는 도덕이야기를 전통적 모범 이야기와 서사적 이야기로 구분하고 이에 대한 도덕교육학자들의 관점을 알아 본 후, 도덕이야기 수업 모형에 대한 이론적 평가를 시도 하였다. 또한 국내외 도덕이야기관련 5개의 연구들을 리뷰하고 이들 연구의 결과를 분석하였다. 마지막으로 도덕이야기 활용의 장점으로 이야기 소재의 친숙성, 비교적 수월한 교수학습 전개, 정의적 측면 중심의 수업 활용을 제시하였고, 개선방안으로 이야기하기 분위기 조성, 교사 중심의 이야기활동 축소, 도덕이야기의 주제 확인 추가, 낮은 추론의 도덕 반성에 대한 주의를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to present a theoretical & empirical analysis and improvement plan for the moral storytelling model, which has been used as one of the moral education teaching methods recently. The researcher reviewed recent studies related to moral story, and local & foreign practice studies that applied the moral story model. The researcher suggested implications for moral education and improvement plans for the optimized moral storytelling model. The researcher divided the moral story into a traditional model story and a narrative story, and after examining the viewpoints of moral scholars on it, he attempted a theoretical evaluation of the moral storytelling teaching model. The researcher reviewed five studies related to moral stories at local & abroad and analyzed the results of these studies. The researcher suggested the familiarity of the story material, relatively easy teaching and learning, and the use of moral affective aspect as the advantages of using moral stories. The researcher suggested attention to creating a storytelling atmosphere, reducing teacher centered storytelling activities, adding confirmation of the topic of moral stories, and reflecting on morality with low reasoning for future improvement.
