Despite an aging society with a growing proportion of elderly individuals, there is a lack of research on the usability of smartphones for different age groups. This study aims to examine the learning effect of using smartphones to form social network (SNS) through self-photographs, with active seniors and ageless women serving as models. In the class, smartphones and apps are utilized to teach the principles of photography and mass communication, increase production efficiency, and explore digital aesthetics through the perspective of Walter Benjamin's media aesthetics. Therefore, continuous efforts to improve smartphone usability and contents for smart learning are necessary.
