본 연구는 체육수업에서 배려를 추구하는 중학교 체육교사의 경험에 대해 근거이론방법을 통해 심층적으로 탐색해보는 것이 목적이다. D광역시 소재의 중학교에 근무하는 체육교사 2명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 2022년 3월부터 8월까지 약 6개월 동안 심층면담, 관찰, 개방형 설문을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 자료 분석 결과, 총 54개의 개념, 하위범주 10개, 상위범주 6개로 범주화 하였다. 중심현상을 유발시키는 인과적 상황은 체육교사의 가치정향, 학생관, 수업관으로 나타났다. 이들에게 영향을 미치는 맥락적 상황은 가정 및 사회에서 배려 역량 부족이라는 부정적 인식으로 나타났다. 또한 중심현상과 관련하여 상호작용을 촉진하는 중재적 상황은 체육교사의 배려 인식 변화로 학생들을 섬기는 마음으로 나타났으며, 상호작용 전략으로는 우호적 관계 형성을 위한 배려와 수업지도와 관리를 위한 배려로 나타났다. 이와 같은 방법으로 연구 참여자들은 체육교사에 대한 태도와 감정, 수업을 대하는 태도와 성공경험이라는 학생들의 인식 변화를 경험한 것으로 도출되었다. 이처럼 배려의 가치가 교사와 학생 사이에 매우 중요한 가치임을 확인할 수 있었다.
The purpose of this study was to explore in depth the experiences of middle school physical education teachers who seek caring in physical education classes using the grounded theory method of Strauss & Corbin (1998). Participants worked at a middle school in D Metropolitan City and data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and open-ended questionnaires for about 6 months from March to August 2022. As a result of data analysis, a total of 54 concepts were categorized into 10 subcategories and 6 upper categories. The causal situation that causes the central phenomenon was the value orientation of the physical education teacher and the student's view of class. The contextual situation affecting them was a negative perception of a lack of caring capacity in the family and society. In addition, the mediation situation that promotes interaction in relation to the central phenomenon appeared as a mind to serve students due to a change in the perception of caring of the physical education teacher. An interaction strategy appeared as consideration for forming a friendly relationship and for class guidance and management. In this way, it was derived that the research participants experienced changes in students' perceptions of attitudes and emotions toward physical education teachers, attitudes toward classes, and success experiences. As such, it was confirmed that the value of consideration is a very important value between teachers and students.
