교육활동의 가장 중심에 수업이 있다. 수업을 중심으로 교사들은 어떤 변화의 과정을 통해 성장해 가는가를 탐색하는 것은 교육의 질을 향상하고 교육 문제에 대한 가장 적절한 방안을 마련하는 데 있어 아주 중요하다. 따라서 이 연구는 다음 2가지의 연구과제를 설정하였다. 첫째, ‘교사의 성장’이란 구체적으로 무엇을 의미하는가? 둘째, ‘교사의 성장’은 어떤 과정을 거치며, 그 요인은 무엇인가? 연구 결과, 교사의 성장 과정은 「참여 및 경험→반성적 성찰→수업의 변화→삶에서의 변화」를 하나의 범례로 제시할 수 있다. 한편 연구 결과 시사점으로 다음과 같이 2가지 점을 제안하였다. 첫째, 학교 현장 및 동료 중심의 ‘교사 학습공동체’는 교사 성장의 의미로서 교사들의 수업전문성을 신장하는 중요한 핵심 요인이다. 따라서 이에 대한 지원과 활성화 방안이 필요하다. 둘째, 일상에서 자연스러운 의사소통이 가능한 민주적인 학교문화의 확립이 필요하다. 학교 및 교육활동에서 민주적인 문화의 확립은 교사의 주체적 참여와 경험을 통한 반성적 성찰이 가능하며, 이것이 곧 성장의 동력이 된다.

Classes are at the center of educational activities. It is very important to improve the quality of education and prepare the most appropriate measures for educational problems to explore what kind of process teachers grow through, centering on classes. Therefore, this study set the following two research tasks. First, what does ‘teacher growth’ specifically mean? Second, what process does ‘teacher growth’ go through and what are the factors? As a result of the study, the teacher's growth process can be presented as an example of 「participation and experience→reflective reflection→change in class→change in life」. On the other hand, the following two points were suggested as implications. First, the 'teacher learning community' centered on the school site and peers is an important key factor in enhancing the teaching expertise of teachers as the meaning of teacher growth. Therefore, it is necessary to support and activate measures for this. Second, it is necessary to establish a democratic school culture where natural communication is possible in everyday life. Establishment of a democratic culture in school and educational activities enables teachers to engage in subjective participation and reflective reflection through experience, which becomes the driving force for growth.
