연구 목적: 기존의 차이점만 강조된 딜타이와 독일관념론자들 사이의 유사성을 밝히기 위해, 예술, 윤리, 역사, 종교 이론에 들어있는 총체성의 개념을 통해 비교해 본다. 연구 방법: 딜타이의 해석학적 방법을 토대로 하여 총체성의 개념은 객관적인 자연을 탐구하는 과학적 특성의 의미와 유사하다는 점을 밝히고자 한다. 학문의 다양한 총체적 발전단계들은 개체의 발생과 같이 개인의 이해로부터 시작하여 자연과학의 법칙을 파악하는 수단으로 삼을 수 있다. 연구 내용: 세계의 대상을 탐구하는 자연과학적인 세계관은 독일관념론의 자의식의 철학과 그 형태나 성격이 무척이나 닮아 있다. 자의식은 우리의 사고에서 경험을 제공하는 바탕이 되며, 전체를 형성하여 우리들의 사고를 부분화 한다. 그리고 넓은 우주의 문제를 해결하는데 하나의 근원을 제공하는 것이다. 결론 및 제언: 그러므로 종교적으로 추상적인 본질이 감각적 미학과 윤리적인 것으로 변용될 수 있는지에 대한 물음은 해석학과 독일관념론의 근본사고인 총체성의 의미를 밝혀준다.

The purpose of this study is to compare through the concept of totality of art, ethics, history, religion, etc. in order to reveal the similarities between Dilthey and German idealists, who have emphasized only the existing differences. Based on Dilthey’s hermeneutic method, I would like to clarify that the concept of totality is similar to the meaning of scientific characteristics that explore objective nature. The natural scientific worldview that explores the objects of the world is very similar in form and character to the philosophy of self-consciousness in relation to the concept of individuality in German idealism. Self-consciousness is the basis for providing experience in our thinking, forming a whole and subdividing our thinking to provide a source for solving the problems of the wide universe. Therefore, The question of whether the religiously abstract essence can be transformed into sensuous aesthetics and ethical ones reveals the meaning of totality, the fundamental thought of hermeneutics and German idealism.
