연구 목적: 본 연구는 특수교육대상자 부모를 대상으로 음악치료에 대한 부모인식 및 기대를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구 방법: B시와 Y시의 특수교육대상자 부모를 대상으로 74부를 분석하였으며, 각 설문문항에 대한 기술통계 및 음악치료 경험의 유무에 따른 차이를 검증하였다. 연구 내용: 음악치료에 대한 인식과 이해는 전반적으로 높게 나타났으며, 중재목적으로는 정서영역에 대한 기대도가 높았고, 시행장소는 학교를 선호하였다. 음악치료 경험의 유무에 따른 집단간 차이에서 음악치료 인식은 유경험 집단에서 유의미하게 높았고, 음악치료 효과는 두 집단 모두 높게 나타났다. 결론 및 제언: 특수교육대상자 부모를 대상으로 음악치료에 대한 인식을 조사함으로써 이들에게 적합한 음악치료의 효율적인 지원 및 발전을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데에 의의를 갖는다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the parents’ perceptions and expectations about music therapy for persons with special education needs. Surveys were distributed in cities B and Y, analyzed 74 responses. Descriptive statistics were conducted for each survey question, and differences in perception based on whether a parent had music therapy experience were verified. Perception and understanding of music therapy generally had a high. They had high expectations for emotion-based interventions and preferred schools as the location of music therapy sessions. The group with music therapy experience displayed a significantly higher perception of music therapy, while both groups rated it as having high effectiveness. This study provides a foundation for effective and beneficial music therapy support and development for persons with special education needs by examining their parents’ perceptions on music therapy.
