본 연구는 과학치안 기술·장비에 대한 경찰 실무자들의 의견을 파악함으로써 향후 과학치안 기술·장비 수요 우선순위도출을 위한 후보과제를 선별하였다. 먼저, 현장 경찰관을 대상으로 한 사전조사를 통하여 과학치안 기술·장비와 관련된 의견을 사전 취합하였으며, 이후 15명의 현장 경찰관 FGI를 실시하여 구체적인 과학치안 기술·장비명을 비롯해 에로사항 및 개선방안 등 사전조사 결과에 대한 세부적인 의견을 추가적으로 수집하였다. 향후 원활한 수요본조사를 수행하기 위하여 사전조사 및 FGI 결과를 바탕으로 탐색된 과학치안 기술·장비에 대한 총 42개의 후보과제를 최종선정 및 분류하였다. 끝으로 본 연구에서 도출된 결과를 바탕으로 학술적·정책적 함의를 논의하였으며, 연구의 한계점을 제시하였다.

This study selected candidate tasks to derive the priority of demand for Police Science Technology and Equipment in the future by grasping the opinions of police practitioners on Police Science Technology and Equipment. First, opinions on Police Science Technology and Equipment were collected in advance through a preliminary survey of on-site police officers, and then 15 on-site police officers were conducted to collect detailed opinions on the results of the preliminary survey, including specific Police Science Technology and Equipment names, problem matter, and improvement measures. Based on the preliminary survey and FGI results, a total of 42 candidate tasks for Police Science Technology and Equipment were finally selected and classified. Based on the results derived from this study, academic and policy implications were discussed, and finally, the limitations of the study were presented.
