SF는 과학기술의 발전과 그에 따른 사회문화적 변화상을 예견하고, 현재와 미래에 발생할 수 있는 문제를 다양한 시각에서 통찰해야 하는 융합적 사고와 연결되어 있다. 현재 대학에서는 융·복합적 인재 양성을 위한 교육 방안의 일환으로 SF관련 교양 수업 개설을 확대하고 있다. 이러한 추세를 반영하여 SF관련 대학 교양 수업은 다양한 방식으로 개발되고 있다. 그러므로 SF관련 수업 자료의 다양성 및 활용 방안에 대해서도 적극적인 접근이 필요하다. 웹으로의 플랫폼 확장으로 다양한 방식의 SF가 탄생되고 유행하고 있는 시점에서 대학생 학습자를 고려할 방안이 요구되어진다. 학습자에게 보다 다양한 자료를 제공한다는 측면에서 SF 관련 자료에 대한 적극적인 개발과 적용이 필요하다. 전통적인 양식인 소설, 영화를 활용한 수업 방식에서 탈피하여, SF의 다양한 콘텐츠에 대한 활용을 위해서는 적절한 SF콘텐츠에 대한 정보 공유가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이러한 점에서 SF드라마는 웹 콘텐츠나 OTT 플랫폼을 인접문화로 향유하는 대학생에게 효과적인 교육 자료로 활용될 수 있다. 웹 콘텐츠의 주된 수용자 층인 20대들은 티빙, 넷플릭스, 웨이브 등의 OTT드라마에 대한 관심도가 높다는 점에서, SF드라마는 대학 교양 수업자료로 활용하는 데 큰 장점이 된다. 최근 근 미래 사회의 과학기술과 일상의 변화 등을 다루는 다양한 SF드라마가 지속적으로 제작, 방영되고 있으며 네이버TV, tvN D 등은 숏폼에 해당이 되는 SF 웹드라마를 꾸준히 제작하고 있다. 이러한 점을 볼 때, 대학 교양 수업에서 SF 관련 교육 자료는 기존의 소설, 영화에서 보다 확장된 시선을 가질 필요가 있다.

SF is connected to convergent thinking that predicts the development of science and technology and the resulting socio-cultural changes, and insights, which require various perspectives, into problems that may arise in the present and future. Currently, universities are opening more science fiction-related liberal arts classes as part of educational measures to foster convergent and incorporated talents. Reflecting this trend, SF-related college liberal arts classes are being developed in various ways. In this respect, SF dramas can be used as effective educational materials for college students, as many of them enjoy web content or OTT platforms as adjacent cultures. There is a great advantage in using SFdramas as college liberal arts class materials, given that people in their 20s, the main audience of web content, are highly interested in web dramas provided on various platforms. Given this, SF-related educational materials in college liberal arts classes need to have a more expanded perspective, in addition to SF novels and movies.
