최근 지식산업센터는 중소기업의 핵심적인 입주공간으로 부상하고 있다. 이 논문의 목적은 지식산업센터 입주기업 대상의 정책 지원 실태 및 정책 수요를 분석하고 지식산업센터 활성화를 위한 정책적 개선점을 도출하는 것이다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정책 지원 측면에서 입주기업의 수요는 세제감면, 마케팅 및 회계 금융지원, 규제완화와 같은 기업지원서비스 부문에서 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 시설 지원 측면에서 병원·보건지소 등의 의료시설을 포함한 복지시설과 주차장과 같은 공공지원시설 수요가 높게 도출되었다. 셋째, 지식산업센터 입주기업 네트워크 활성화 지원 측면에서는 입주기업 간 정보공유를 위한 정책적 지원이 가장 필요하며, 향후 추가적인 입주기업 간 연계·협력 수단 확충이 필요하다.

Recently, The Knowledge Industry Center (the Center or KIC) has emerged as a key site for SMEs. This article aims to analyse the status of policy support for and policy demand from tenant enterprises in the Center and to draw out policy improvements that are designed to revitalise the Center. The results are as follows: First, in terms of policy support, the demand was high for corporate support services such as tax reduction, financial aid for marketing and accounting, and deregulation. Second, regarding facility support, there was a high demand for welfare facilities - including medical facilities such as hospitals and health centres - as well as public facilities such as parking lots. Third, in terms of strengthening enterprise networks in the Center, while policy support that can facilitate information sharing among enterprises is most needed, additional means to broaden the linkage and cooperation among enterprises are also needed for the future.
