점토대토기는 구연부의 형태적 변이가 매우 다양한 것이 특징적이다. 특히 삼각형점토대토기는 점토대를 기벽에 붙이기 위해 압력을 가하는 부분에 따라 다양한 단면형태가 나타난다. 지금까지 삼각형점토대토기의 제작과정과 기술에 대한 관심과 연구는 부족했기 때문에 본고에서는 유물의 면밀한 관찰과 제작실험을 병행하면서 삼각형점토대토기의 제작기술을 재검토하였다. 그 결과 삼각형점토대토기의 제작공정 내 제작기술은 매우 다양한 경우의 수가 있고, 제작자에 따라 채택 및 조합되는 것으로 파악하였다. 이를 토대로 삼각형점토대토기 제작의 특성에 접근할 수 있는 속성을 추출하였다. 사천 늑도유적과 광주 신창동유적을 대표유적으로 선정하여, 양 유적에서 출토된 삼각형점토대토기를 대상으로 분류·분석한 결과 규범성을 가지며 제작되는 것을 확인하였고, 정형성의 정도와 경향성 등 유적 간 상사성과 상이성이 도출되었다. 삼각형점토대토기 제작의 특성을 고찰하고 본질을 알기 위해서는 먼저 삼각형점토대토기의 ‘제작의도’에 대한 이해로부터 출발해야 한다. 의도에 따라 구연부에 허용된 형태적 자율성은 제작기술의 다양성과 밀접하게 관련된다. 또한 제작행위의 전승 및 학습, 제작자 간의 상호작용 등의 정도에 따라 제작자 개개인을 아우르는 집단별 경향성으로 드러난다. 이것이 삼각형점토대토기 제작의 특성이며 삼각형점토대토기의 본질적 성격을 정의하는 배경이 된다. 그리고 이에 대한 정확한 이해야말로 삼각형점토대토기의 출현에 대해서도 새로운 시점(視點)으로 해석해 낼 수 있는 시점(始點)이 된다.

Based on this, attributes that can access the characteristics of Pottery with triangular clay band rim manufacturing were extracted. The Sacheon Neuk-do sites and Gwangju Sinchang-dong sites were selected as representative sites, and as a result of classifying and analyzing Pottery with triangular clay band rim excavated from both sites, it was confirmed that they were produced with normativity, and similarities and differences between the sites were derived. In order to examine the characteristics of the manufacturing of pottery with triangular clay band rim and to know the essence, it is necessary to start with an understanding of the 'manufacturing intention' of pottery with triangular clay band rim. The morphological autonomy allowed in a mouth part of the pottery according to the intention is closely related to the diversity of manufacturing techniques. In addition, depending on the degree of transmission and learning of manufacturing behavior, and interaction between manufacturers, it is revealed as a group-specific tendency encompassing individual producers. This is the characteristic of the manufacturing of pottery with triangular clay band rim and is the background that defines the essential character of pottery with triangular clay band rim. And an accurate understanding of this is a starting point when the emergence of pottery with triangular clay band rim can be interpreted as a new point of view.
