The purpose of this study is to suggest plans for strengthen the business entities of the urban regeneration project in Busan and for revitalize urban regeneration project by promoting young startups. In order to achieve the above objectives, a preceding study and administrative data analysis, overseas support systems and case studies, and a case analysis of startups related to urban regeneration were conducted. Based on this, semi-structured interview with experts were conducted. The result of this study is as follows: First, public facilities created through urban regeneration projects can be provided as a focal space for young startups and it can be pioneered into new business areas of startups. In addition, the database should be established so that the current state of public facilities and operational management can be comprehensively understood. Second, in order to utilize empty houses as a startup focal space, a ‘use contract’ must be signed, not lease contract. Instead of having no rental fee, tenants can donate a certain amount of money each month to a space support organization for young startups, and the organization use it as an operating cost. Third, a comprehensive support system should be established so that startup companies can make full use of various support project. Finally, the support system for the administrative and public support institutions should be modified. Then, it is necessary to foster and support facilitator that enhancing networking among startups and supporting collaboration.
