음악 감상은 모든 음악 행위 중에서 가장 기본이 되는 활동이다. 음악 감상 교육이 나아가야 할 바는 학생 스스로 음악이 주는 자연스러운 즐거움과 만족감을 얻고 진실한 음악의 이해의 길로 나아갈 수 있도록 이끄는 것이다. 그러나 학교 현장에서 이루어지는 감상 교육은 대부분 교사의 설명과 음악 들려주기의 형태로 진행되기에 학생들이 주체적으로 음악을 향유하는 데 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 수동적인 음악 감상 수업에서 벗어나 학생들의 흥미를 이끌 수 있는 수업 방안을 모색해보고자 했다. 초등학교 5~6학년 학생들이 베토벤의 ‘월광 소나타’를 효과적으로 감상할 수 있도록 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정이 제시한 감상 수업 성취 기준을 토대로 수업 지도안을 설계하였다.

The goals of music education consist in developing creativity of children, having their feeling and emotion expressed properly. The activity of music appreciation is not only simply accepting music but also joining together their thinking actively to music heard through music listening activity. Consequently it is one of the most efficient method to approach music and it supplies esthetic attitude and also it is a highly valuable education. The purpose of this study is to provide interesting music appreciation class for the 5^th and 6^th graders by utilizing Beethoven's ‘Moonlight/ Sonata. This study develop the method which will realize familiarization of music that the curriculum aims at. To accomplish the purpose of the study, the revised music curriculum of 2015 was analyzed. The various appreciation activities which utilized ‘Moonlight/ Sonata increased interest and understanding of music by leading the students to active participation. It is expected that the teaching methods of music appreciation and learning materials suggested in this study will be usefully utilized.
