본고의 목적은 <복선화음가(福善禍淫歌)>류의 유형과 주제를 살펴보는 것이다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, <복선화음가>류의 유형이다. <복선화음가>의 정격형은 김부인의 일생, 계녀1, 괴똥어미의 일생, 계녀2라는 구성요소가 모두 있는 것이다. 계녀2에서는 복선화음이란 주제를 직접 전달한다. 김부인 일생과 괴똥어미의 일생은 순차적 전개에서 일치하고 자신의 의지에 의해 행위를 한다는 점도 일치하나 행위에서는 대비되어, 선인과 악인의 대비를 이룬다. 계녀1은 김부인의 일생과 괴똥어미의 일생을 연결하는 역할을 한다. 정격형은 ‘김부인 일생과 괴똥어미 일생의 대비→계녀’라는 구성을 지닌다. 김부인 일생과 괴똥어미 일생의 대비로 복선화음(福善禍淫)이란 주제가 전달된다. <복선화음가>의 변격형은 구성요소에서 생략·축소가 있고 대화·서술이 확장되고 인물의 말이 서술되는 변모가 있다. 김부인의 일생에서 가족 윤리를 지키려는 의지는 약화되어, 김부인은 가정사(시집살이와 가난)의 고통을 토로하는 인물이 된다. 괴똥어미의 일생에서 악행을 하려는 의지는 약화되어, 괴똥어미는 심술을 부리는 해학적 인물이 된다. 변격형의 주제는 가정사의 고통, 해학이다. 둘째, <복선화음가>류의 주제이다. 정격형의 주제는 복선화음이고, 변격형의 주제는 가정사의 고통과 해학이다. 정격형 <복선화음가>에서 계녀1과 괴똥어미의 행위에서 계녀의 항목들은 전형계녀가사에서 볼 수 있는 항목들이 있다. 뿐만 아니라 수신의 항목들(언행·내외·신체·교만에 대한 경계)도 있다. 수신의 항목들은 계녀서와 일치한다. 계녀서는 전형계녀가사보다 선행하므로 정격형 <복선화음가>가 전형계녀가사보다 선본(先本)일 가능성이 있다.

In this thesis, I aim at investing the type and theme of < Boksonhwaeumga >. The result is as follow. The type of < Boksonhwaeumga > : In the authentic type of < Boksonhwaeumga >, the component is Gimbuin’s life, the first lesson for daughter, Goeddongeomi’s life, the second lesson for daughter. In the second lesson for daughter, the theme is directly presented. The theme is that the person of doing good receives fortune but the person of doing bad receives punishment. Gimbuin’s life ie contrasted with Goeddongeomi’s life. Gimbuin will do good therefore receives fortune but Goeddongeomi will do bad therefore receives punishment. In the authentic type of < Boksonhwaeumga >, the theme is presented through contrasting Gimbuin’s life with Goeddongeomi’s life. In the plagal type of < Boksonhwaeumga >, the component is left out or is reduced. The narration is expanded and the character’s monologue is narrated. So the theme is domestic trouble and humor. The theme of < Boksonhwaeumga > : In the authentic type of < Boksonhwaeumga >, the theme is that the person of doing good receives fortune but the person of doing bad receives punishment. In the plagal type of < Boksonhwaeumga >, the theme is domestic trouble and humor. In the authentic type of < Boksonhwaeumga >, some kind of lesson is equal to the lesson of Gyenyeo Gasa. The other kind of lesson is different to the lesson of Gyenyeo Gasa but is equal to the lesson of the Book of lesson for daughter. Therefore I guess that the authentic type of < Boksonhwaeumga > precede the Gyenyeo Gasa.
