The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship that affects participation satisfaction and participation continuation according to the sense of community for farmers participating in producer organizations, and to provide implications for improving the sense of community. In oder to test the hypotheses, this study used a sample of 124 members from the Jinan watermelon producer organizations. The result are as follows. First, among the sense of community consciousness, needs fulfillment, membership, and influence had a significant effect on participation satisfaction, and emotional connection directly affected participation continuation. Second, the higher the participation satisfaction of farmers in the producer organization, the more significant effect on the participation continuation. Third, among the components of sense of community, membership and influence have a full mediation that affects participation continuation through participation satisfaction, the needs fulfillment influenced participation continuation through participation satisfaction, resulting in partial mediation. And emotional connection had a direct effect only on participation continuation. Based on these results, the importance of participation satisfaction as a mediating role in the process of influencing sense of community consciousness to continue participation. To this end, various social and cultural activities are needed to increase the sense of solidarity, belonging, and intimacy of community participants. In addition, it is necessary to increase a sense of community and induce participation satisfaction and participation continuation by securing market economy force and achieving common goals.
