목적 COVID-19 상황에서 보호동기와 계획된 행동이론을 적용하여 태권도장 학부모의 행동의도를 규명하여 이를 통해 팬데믹 현상이 다시 발생하였을 시 태권도장의 경영난을 극복할 수 있는 실무적 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 방법 태권도장 학부모를 모집단으로 선정하여 비확률표본추출법 중 편의표본추출법을 사용하였으며 총 204부 설문지를 분석에 사용하였다. SPSS 25.0 및 AMOS 24.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 기술통계분석, 마하라노비스의 거리검증, 구조방정식모형분석, 다중매개효과분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 태권도장 학부모의 보호동기는 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 태권도장 학부모의 태도와 지각된 행동통제는 행동의도에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 주관적 규범은 행동의도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 셋째, 태권도장 학부모의 태도와 지각된 행동통제는 보호동기와 행동의도의 관계에서 정(+)적인 다중매개효과가 나타났으며, 주관적 규범은 보호동기와 행동의도의 관계에서 매개효과가 나타나지 않았다. 결론 학부모는 COVID-19에 관한 안전의식과 보호의식을 가지면 자녀를 적극적으로 태권도 수련시키고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 그러므로 태권도장 지도자는 학부모로 하여금 안전하다는 인식을 제공할 수 있는 방역 체계를 마련하여야 한다. 더 나아가 코로나에 관한 지식수준을 향상시켜 정확하고 과학적인 정보와 증거로 학부모에게 태권도 수련의 이점을 전달하여 심리적 안정을 제공한다면 수련생을 유지 및 증가시킬 수 있는 것으로 판단된다.

Purpose This aims to examine the behavior intention of Teakwondo gym parents, by applying the protection motivation theory(PMT) and the theory of planned behavior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and therefore, provide practical data for maintaining and increasing trainees. Method The convenience sampling method was used by recruiting Taekwondo gym parents as the population, and a total of 204 questionnaires were used for the analysis. Frequency, confirmatory factor, reliability, descriptive statistical, structural equation modeling and multiple mediation effect analysis, and Mahalanobis distance method were conducted by using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0. Results First, Taekwondo gym parents’ protection motivation theory has a positive effect on attitude, subject norm and perceived behavioral control. Second, Taekwondo gym parents’ attitude and perceived behavioral control have positive effects on their behavioral intention, while the subject norm has no effect on the behavioral intention. Third, Taekwondo gym parents’ attitude and perceived behavioral control have positive multiple mediation effects on the relationship between the protection motivation theory and the behavioral intention, while the subject norm has no mediation effect on both protection motivation theory and behavioral intention. Conclusion Parents can allow their children to actively train Taekwondo, if they are aware of the safety and protection from COVID-19. Teakwondo gym instructors, therefore, should establish the disease control system for parents to recognize that it is safe. Moreover, it would be possible to maintain and increase the number of trainees, if they inform parents of the advantages of Taekwondo training and provide psychological safety to them.
