본 논문은 <찬기파랑가>의 올바른 이해를 통해 그 안에서 <찬기파랑가>만의 고유한 가치를 창조해 새로운 콘텐츠로의 확장을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 아울러 ‘기파랑’이라는 인물에 중심을 두고 영웅 ‘기파랑’의 탄생과 당시 시대적 요구를 분석해 화랑의 이상적인 영웅상으로 ‘기파랑’이 손색이 없음을 확인해 낼 수 있었다. 이를 통해 <찬기파랑가> 속 영웅 ‘기파랑’의 의미를 다시금 되새기고 그 안에서 우리만의 고유한 영웅으로 창출해 내고자 하였다. 따라서 Ⅱ장에서는 <찬기파랑가>의 배경과 그 의미를 알아보고 동시대적 요구를 확인하였다. 그리고 Ⅲ장에서는 그러한 ‘기파랑’과 같은 영웅들에 대해 알아보고자 그가 속했던 화랑 속 또 다른 영웅들과 비견해 어떠한 인물이었는지 확인하고, 이를 통해 화랑의 이상적인 영웅상으로 새롭게 재조명해 보았다. 그러면서 이러한 영웅성을 ‘기파랑’에게 부여해 새로운 영웅상으로 창조해낼 수 있었다. 그리고 Ⅳ장에서는 앞 장에서 확인된 사실들을 기반으로 영웅 ‘기파랑’을 녹여낸 시놉시스와 스토리텔링을 시도하였다. 본고에서는 이와 같은 시도를 통해 오늘날 우리들에게 알려지지 않은 수많은 우리 고유의 영웅들을 새로운 콘텐츠로 활용하거나 브랜드화해서 그 가치를 다시금 드높일 수 있는 방안을 강구하고자 하였으며,<찬기파랑가>를 현대적인 콘텐츠로의 확장을 시도하였다는 데 그 의의가 있을 것이다. 앞으로 이와 같은 우리만의 고유한 영웅상을 발굴해 내는 연구가 활발히 이루어지기를 기대한다.

Through the correct understanding of "Chankiparangga", this paper attempted to create the unique value of "Chankiparangga" within it and seek expansion into new content. In addition, it was possible to analyze the birth of the hero "Giparang" and the demands of the times, focusing on the character "Giparang," confirming that "Giparang" is the ideal hero image of the gallery. Through this, we tried to reflect on the meaning of the hero "GiParang" in "Chankiparangga" and create it as our own unique hero within it. Therefore, in Chapter II, the background and meaning of "Chankiparangga" were examined and contemporary demands were confirmed. And in Chapter III, in order to find out about heroes such as "Giparang," we checked what kind of characters he was compared to other heroes in the gallery he belonged to, Through this, I re-examined it as the ideal hero image of the gallery. At the same time, he was able to create a new hero image by giving this heroism to "Giparang." In addition, in Chapter IV, synopsis and storytelling were attempted to melt the hero "Giparang" based on the facts confirmed in the previous chapter. Through such attempts, this paper tried to find a way to increase the value of many of our own heroes unknown to us today by using or branding them as new content, and it will be meaningful in that it attempted to expand "Chankiparanga" to modern content. In the future, we hope that research will be actively conducted to discover our own unique hero image.
