It is a time for college students to explore career paths in career development and to make various efforts for employment by selecting a career that suits their aptitude. In particular, college students are having difficulties because they have a short period of employment preparation compared to 4-year universities. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of self-leadership on job strategy by identifying the effects of self-leadership as a fundamental method for successful employment, avoiding the difficulties in the employment process of college students.
The results of this study are as follows: First, self leadership of college students is significantly lower than that of 4-year universities, but employment strategy is higher than 4-year universities. Second, some sub-factors of self leadership influence on 'job search plan', 'ability cultivation', 'utilization of resources' in employment strategy. Based on the results of this study, we proposed the introduction of programs related to self-leadership in the development of employment preparation program contents for college students.
