In oder to apply IoT technology to the agricultural sector, complex sensor system that can simultaneiously acquire data from various sensors is actively used to acquire big data to monitor real-time environmental status. Then, a location of the sensor assembly should be decided in order to ensure the accuracy of the data. In this study, the sensor assembly has been designed for use in enclosed poultry houses. The study attempts to measure the shape and temperature of the air flow according to the location of the sensor assembly, respectively. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis was conducted by using the 3D models of the poultry house and the designed sensor assembly. The pre-set installation scenarios and locations were used to analyze the air flow and temperature districution and to decide the sensor location, by varying the distances from the inlets of the air conditioning system and poultry cages. Height value was fixed in order to neglect the temperature variances accoding to the radiant heat at the bottom of the poultry house. By comparing these measured temperatures with the ones of ambent air, the best temperature sensor installation location was determined as a final result.
