본 논문은 조선그리스도교련맹의 『성경전서』(1990/2010) 요한계시록을 분석적으로 평가한다. 『성경전서』는 대한민국의 『공동번역 성서』(1977)를 개정한 것으로 (민영진에 의해) “공동번역 성서의 평얀 교정본”이라고 명명되기도 했다. 그 이유는 『성경전서』의 편집자들이 고유명사의 변경, 맞춤법상의 교정, 어휘 변경, 대우법 조정, 문장 전체 교정, 편집상의 교정, 교정되지 못한 곳, 유사문미 탈락이라는 8개의 기준을 가지고 『공동번역 성서』를 개정했기 때문이다. 유사문미 탈락이라는 기준을 제외한 나머지 7개의 변화들이 『성경전서』의 요한계시록 본문에서 발견된다. 이 사실은 조선그리스도교련맹의 『성경전서』가 일단의 체계적이고 신중한 개정작업의 결과물임을 말해 준다. 그러나 본 논문은 새롭고 개정된 헬라어 비평본들의 출현(예. 많은 본문 변화를 담고 있는 NA28/UBS5와 2022년에 출판되기로 예고된 성경)과 남북한 통일 시대를 준비하기 위한 새로운 북한어 성경이 요구된다는 점을 지적한다.

This article tries to analytically evaluate on the Revelation of John in the Bible(1990/2010) of the Korean Christian Federation. This Bible adapted The Common Translation(1977) of South Korea, and is commonly called the “Pyeongyang Recension of The Common Translation”(Dr. Young Jin Min’s word) because it was adapted in base of the following eight principles, i.e. changes of proper names, changes of orthography, changes in vocabularies, changes in honorific style, changes in editing marks, some non-corrected errors and homoioteleuta from The Common Translation. Except the homoioteleuta, the above-mentioned changes are found in the Revelation of John of the Bible of the Korean Christian Federation. This says that this Bible is a result of some systematic and considerable recension. However, this analysis is more contributive to indicate that a new translation in North Korean is requested because of both an advent of new and revised Greek New Testament editions( eg. NA²⁸/UBS⁵ and the next edition in 2022 containing many textual changes) and demands for a Bible to prepare the era of reunification of South and North Koreas.
