우음도는 행정구역상 경기도 화성시 송산면 고정3리에 위치한 섬으로 1987년에서 1994년까지 이루어진 시화방조제 공사를 통해 육지가 된 곳이다. 우음도에서는 전통적으로 3년에 한번 2박 3일 동안 당제를 지내 왔다. 우음도 당제는 1998년을 마지막으로 단절되었다가 2004년 명맥을 되살리는 시도를 통하여 최근 2020년까지 전승이 지속되고 있다. 몇몇의 선행 연구를 통해 우음도 당제의 절차와 현장이 조사된 바 있다. 그러나 지역개발로 인해 마을이 철거되고 주민공동체가 와해되면서 마을굿의 복원과 재현에는 어려움이 많다. 그럼에도 우음도 당제가 복원되고 재현될 수 있었던 데에는 우음도 당제 보존회 회장을 맡고 있는 윤영배 씨 및 조사 자료를 남긴 마을주민들의 집단기억 문화의 역할이 컸다. 그럼에도 기억을 재구하는 과정에서 빚어지는 혼선이 남아있어 당에서 모시는 신격에 대해서는 추가적 조사 연구가 필요하다. 또한 굿판을 주관하는 단골무당의 확정을 통해 도당굿의 정체성 정립과 유지가 필요하다.

Ueumdo is an island located in Gojeong 3-ri, Songsan-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, and became a land area through the Sihwa Embankment Work, which was completed from 1987 to 1994. Traditionally, in Ueumdo, the Dangje has been held once every three years for three days. Ueumdo Dangje was cut off in 1998 for the last time, but in 2004, through an attempt to revive its name, the tradition continues until 2020. Uumdo Dangje's procedures and sites were investigated through several prior studies. However, as the village was demolished and the community of residents was destroyed due to local development, there are many difficulties in the restoration and reproduction of village-gut. Nevertheless, Ueumdo Dangje was able to be restored and reproduced because of the large role of the collective memory culture of Yoon Young-bae, who is the chairman of the Ueumdo Dangje Preservation Association, and the villagers who left the survey data. Nevertheless, confusion arising from the process of retrieving memories remains, and additional research is needed on the deity worshiped by the Dangje. In addition, it is necessary to establish and maintain the identity of Dodang-gut through the confirmation of the regular shaman who is in charge of the Gutpan.
