시각예술에서 움직임이라는 개념은 표현기법의 확장을 가져왔으나 이에 대한 이론 체계가 미미한 실정이며 패션 일러스트레이션에서도 관련된 논의는 아직 초기 단계이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 움직임의 표현기법을 범주화하여 패션 일러스트레이션에 나타난 표현특징과 효과를 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구방법은 국내외 이론서, 학술지, 인터넷 자료 등을 통한 이론적 연구와 2000년대 이후 패션 일러스트레이션 작품집과 GPHY 및 인터넷 사이트를 중심으로 패션디자인 전공 2인을 통해 검증된 231점의 자료를 사례 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 패션 일러스트레이션에서 움직임의 표현으로 첫째, 이동궤적 잔상은 움직임 방향에 따른 역동적인 브러시 터치, 떨림선, 그러데이션, 블러, 번지기, 은유적 형상을 특징으로 하며, 움직임 상상, 의복 이미지 강화와 몰입 유도, 장식 효과가 있다. 둘째, 순차적 이동중첩 및 병치는 농담에 따른 순차적 중첩, 왜곡된 얼굴과 병치된 여러 개의 눈이 특징이며, 이것은 의미의 확대와 본질 강화, 투명성에 따른 공간감 형성, 속도감, 생동감을 전달하는 효과를 가진다. 셋째, 반복 리듬의 옵티컬 일루전은 기하학적 형태와 색채의 그러데이션, 기하학적 형태와 색채의 강한 대비를 그 특징으로 하며, 환영에 의한 시각적 즐거움과 입체감, 공간감을 준다. 넷째, 가현적 잔상착시는 대상체 사이의 서술적 움직임, 문양과 소재의 상상적 움직임, 문양, 신체의 기계적 움직임을 특징으로 하며, 공간감, 판타지 감성, 정보전달 강화와 몰입 유도, 그리고 정확한 시간성을 환기한다. 결론적으로 패션 일러스트레이션 작품에서 움직임 기법은 역동적인 이미지뿐만 아니라 정지된 이미지에도 운동감을 표현해낼 수 있으며, GIF 표현에서는 대상체의 심리, 분위기 그리고 여운 등을 표현할 수 있는 적절한 시간과 속도감이 요구된다.
The concept of movement in visual art has led to an expansion of expression techniques, but the theoretical framework for this has been minimal, and the discussions involved in fashion illustrations is still in their early stages. The purpose of this study was to categorize the expression techniques of movement and to analyze the characteristics and effects of expression shown in fashion illustrations based on them. The research method was based on theoretical research through domestic and foreign theoretical books, journals, internet materials, etc. and 231 pieces of data verified through two fashion design majors, focusing on fashion illustration works collection and GPHY and Internet sites since the 2000s. The results of this study are as follows. In fashion illustration, the expression classification of movement was categorized into four categories. First, afterimage of mobile trajectory has the imagination of movement, strengthening the image of garment, inducing immersion, and decorative effect. Second, sequential movement overlapping and juxtaposition have the effect of expanding the meaning and strengthening the essence, forming a sense of space according to transparency, and transmission of speed and vitality caused by the activation of the eyes. Third, optical illusion of repetitive rhythms represents the visual pleasure, three-dimensional and spatial feeling according to illusion. Fourth, illusion of apparent movement evokes the formation of spatial sense, fantasy emotional transmission, strengthening information delivery and inducing immersion, and accurate timeliness. In conclusion, in fashion illustration works, motion techniques can express a sense of movement not only in dynamic images but also in stationary images, and in GIF expressions, proper time and speed are required to express the psychology, atmosphere and lingering imagery of the object.
