SNS는 자신의 삶을 개방하여 타인과 공유하고 기존의 관계에서 벗어나 새로운 관계를 형성할 수 있도록 하는 온라인 가상 사회인 동시에 현실과 함께 하는 공생적 사회라는 특성이 있다. 청소년은 SNS를 통하여 유익한 정보를 습득하거나 사회적 이슈를 파악하는 등 다양한 기능적 혜택을 경험하고 공감대 형성, 스트레스 해소 등의 심리적 만족감을 느끼기도 하지만, SNS에 수시로 업로드되는 새로운 글, 또래 친구들의 댓글과 반응 등 소식을 즉각적으로 확인하고자 과도한 SNS 소통과 시간 투자 등으로 인한 SNS 중독은 문제점으로 제기되고 있다. 또한 청소년들은 SNS를 사회적 커뮤니케이션을 위한 대인관계의 매체로 인식하는 경향으로 인해 오프라인이 아닌 온라인상에서 욕설, 비난, 위협, 따돌림과 같은 괴롭힘을 가하거나 겪게 되는 사이버 폭력 또는 사이버불링 역시 청소년의 교우 관계에서 문제 시 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 SNS 이용이 청소년의 교우 관계에 미치는 영향과 관련하여 문제 시 되는 SNS 중독과 사이버 폭력 또는 사이버불링으로 그 주제를 한정하였으며, 관련 문헌 및 학술 자료 등을 통해 자세히 살펴보고자 한다. 아울러 청소년의 건전한 SNS 이용으로 교우 관계의 증진을 도모하고 관련 문제점을 해결하기 위한 대안도 함께 모색해보고자 한다.

SNS is characterized by an online virtual society that opens up its own life to share with others and form new relationships away from existing relationships, as well as a symbiotic society with reality. Adolescent experience various functional benefits such as acquiring useful information or identifying social issues through SNS and feel psychological satisfaction such as creating consensus and relieving stress, but SNS addiction due to excessive SNS communication and time investment to immediately check news such as comments and responses from their peers. Also, cyberbullying such as verbal abuse, criticism, threats and bullying online rather than offline, is also a problem in youth friendships due to their tendency to recognize SNS as an interpersonal medium for social communication. Therefore, this study limited the subject to SNS addiction and cyberbullying, which are problematic in relation to the impact of SNS use on the friendship relationship of adolescent, and it is intended to be examined in detail through related literature and academic materials. In addition, the government will seek alternatives to promote friendship and solve related problems by using sound SNS of adolescent.
