본 연구는 청소년의 팬덤문화를 이해하고, 팬덤문화가 청소년의 삶에서 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 팬덤활동과 기본심리욕구, 공동체의식, 학교생활적응을 변인으로 선정하였다. 팬덤활동의 영향을 살펴보기 위해 첫째, 팬덤활동이 학교생활적응과의 관계에서 기본심리욕구가 매개효과를 보이는지 살펴보았다. 둘째, 팬덤활동이 학교생활적응과의 관계에서 공동체의식이 매개효과를 갖는지 살펴보았다. 셋째, 팬덤활동과 학교생활적응의 관계에서 기본심리욕구와 공동체의식은 이중매개 효과를 갖는지 살펴보았다. 연구분석은 총 592명의 자료를 토대로 팬덤활동, 기본심리욕구, 공동체의식, 학교생활적응 간의 상관관계를 확인한 뒤, 구조방정식으로 연구모형을 검증하였다. 그리고 bootstrapping을 통해 매개효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과 팬덤활동과 학교생활적응의 관계에서 기본심리욕구, 공동체의식이 이중매개 효과를 가진다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 청소년이 주도하는 팬덤문화에 대한 긍정적 영향을 밝혀 균형 잡힌 시각의 필요성을 제안하고, 추후 연구에서 고려되어야 할 사항 등을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to understand the fandom culture which is known as youth culture and review what effect it has on the life of adolescents. In order to examine the effect of fandom activities, it was examined whether the basic psychological needs had a mediation effect on the relationship between the fandom activities and the school adjustment. Second, it was examined whether the sense of community had a mediation effect on the relationship between the fandom activities and the school adjustment. Lastly, it was examined whether the basic psychological needs and the sense of community showed double mediation effects on the relationship between the fandom activities and the school adjustment. For the research analysis, the correlation between the fandom activities, basic psychological needs, sense of community, and school adjustment was examined based on the data from 592 students. The research model was verified using a structural equation and the mediation effect was verified through bootstrapping. The result of this study it was confirmed that the basic psychological needs and the sense of community had double mediation effects on the relationship between the fandom activities and the school adjustment. This study has significant implications as follows: positive effect of fandom culture led by adolescents was determined and it was shown as necessary to have a balanced viewpoint on the adolescents’ fandom culture. In addition, various matters that need to be considered in a future study were presented.
