The purpose of this study is to contrast the meanings and usages between Korean and Myanmar verbs on wearing. Korean and Myanmar verbs on wearing are not related to each other and in addition, the difference between the verbs on wearing of these two languages is that Korean verbs on wearing depend on the body parts which are worn and Myanmar verbs on wearing depend on the actions to wear. As result, Myanmar learners who learn Korean are often confused about the verbs on wearing of these two languages and they become difficult to understand Korean verbs on wearing. Therefore, a contrastive study of verbs on wearing which are frequently made mistakes will be required. Based on the contrastive study, this paper elucidates the differences between the two languages and the usual mistakes made by Myanmar learners in using these verbs. Through this study, this paper will subscribe teaching method of Korean verbs on wearing so as to be properly used these verbs. This paper hopes to help Korean and Myanmar Language learners learn the verbs on wearing and use these verbs in real life appropriately. (Mandalay University of Foreign Languages)
