The purpose of this study was to compare the differences in treatment satisfaction level on semi-permanent makeup between customers in aesthetic practitioner group and in doctor practitioner group, and to analyze its difference according to general characteristics. The subjects were 112 customers in aesthetic practitioner group and 109 customers in doctor practitioner group in Seoul, Gyeonggi area and etc who experienced semi-permanent makeup, from July 12, 2019 to October 9, 2019. Descriptive statistics, t-test, χ2-test, ANOVA, and Duncan test were used for statistical analysis, with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Hygiene satisfaction in doctor practitioner group demonstrated significantly higher than in aesthetic group, while design, service and economic satisfaction in aesthetic practitioner group demonstrated significantly higher than doctor practitioner group. Moreover, immediate legalization of semi-permanent makeup is mandatory, as considering the rapidly growing demand in overseas market and legalized cases of foreign countries which emphasizes hygiene and safety. The present study is expected to establish the groundwork to improve and develop semi-permanent makeup industry in the future.
