본 연구의 목적은 부모와의 관계에 대한 사립유치원 교사의 경험과 의미는 어떠한지를 Levinas의 관점을 중심으로 탐색하는 것에 있다. 사립유치원에서 근무한 경력이 있으며 부모와의 관계에 관심있는 교사 7명을 목적 표집으로 선정하였으며, 2019년 9월에서 10월까지 교사 1인당 2~3회, 총 19회의 개별 심층면담을 하였다. 연구결과, 부모와의 관계에 대한 사립유치원 교사의 경험에는 서로의 다름에 대한 오해와 이해가 얽혀져 있었으며, 아이에 대한 각자의 걱정과 함께 서로에 대한 믿음도 공존하고 있었다. 하지만 교사는 부모와 다른 곳을 바라보며 멀어지기도 하고, 같은 곳을 보면서 다시 가까워지기도 반복하면서 서로의 타자성을 지켜주는 대화적 관계를 맺어나고자 시도하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이를 통해, 사립유치원이 놓여 있는 시대적인 맥락 속에서 요즘 교사와 요즘 부모 관계의 얽힘을 이해해야 함을 제기하면서, 동시에 교사 자신의 내면성을 마주하며 부모의 타자성을 존중하고 대화와 책임을 바탕으로 윤리적인 관계로 나아가기 위한 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the experience and meaning of private kindergarten teachers about the relationship with parents, focusing the viewpoint of Levinas. 7 private kindergarten teachers who were interested in the relationship with parents were selected using a purposeful sampling method. Two or three times per teacher, a total of 19 individual in-depth interviews were conducted from September to October 2019. The results of this study showed that teachers experienced the intertwined relationship of misunderstanding and understanding of the differences, as well as the mutually trustworthy, caring and responsible relationship. They also had the relationship in which actions that move away from each other and approach to each other are repeated. This study indicates that private kindergarten teachers need to be able to see the entanglement of the relationship between teachers and parents of these days. Thus, teachers must face the teacher's own interiority and respect the parents of altérité, and they also strive to move toward ethical teacher-parent relationship based on dialogue and responsibility.
