Branch like silver structure on hydrophilic functionalized PET surface

Silver cluster have been fabricated by simple reduction of silver mirror reagent until now. Silver nano-inukshuks was synthesized using germanium semiconductor and leaf like fractal silver structure was prepared using oxidized copper foil through galvanic replacement reaction in previous report. But we fabricated branch like silver micro and nanostructure on hydrophilic treated poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) surface. We demonstrated that functionalized PET is able to selectively reduce Ag+ ion through selective deposition of Ag using silver mirror reagent and AgNO3 solution. Additionally, prepared silver structure on PET surface was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and EDX. Silver mirror reagent for branch like silver structure was synthesized by following another paper.
