이 글은 신사임당의 유학적인 가족치유 방법에 관하여 고찰한 것이다. 신사임당은 우리나라 역사상 가족주의를 모범적으로 실천한 대표적인 여성이기 때문에 다수의 사람이 제가(齊家)를 잘한 위인으로 그녀를 지칭한다. 최근 우리 사회에 전통적인 가족주의가 쇠퇴하고, 개인주의적 가치관이 형성되면서 이에 따르는 제반 문제가 가족해체로 이어지는 일이 많다. 그런데 가족치유와 관련한 사상적 연구는 없다시피 한 실정이다. 가족과 개인의 문제는 단선적이라기보다는 상호순환적인 작용으로 보는데 이 양상이 지속적·반복적으로 이어지면 가족 해체로 이어질 수 있다. 왜냐하면, 가족갈등의 상황에서 문제대처 방식과 고유의 가족신념이 어떠한지에 따라 갈등 양상이 다르게 나타날 수 있기 때문이다. 그래서 이 글은 이러한 문제의식에서 출발하여 신사임당의 제가(齊家) 방법을 통해 가족치유 발현 요소를 연구하여 가족의 기능 향상에 이바지하기 위한 목적으로 개진하였다. 이는 광의의 철학치유 영역 중 가족치유 영역에 관한 사상실천 분석이라는 데 의의가 있다. 이러한 점에 주목하여 먼저 그녀에게 영향을 미쳤던 유학 사상 중 가족주의와 효제 사상을 연구의 배경으로 고찰하고, 이후 그녀의 아들 율곡이 쓴 『율곡전서(栗谷全書)』 중 가족에 대한 기록을 중심으로 논하였다. 그 결과 그녀의 가족치유 방법은 인(仁)사상에서 비롯된 수신제가의 실천이며 자기치유가 선행된 후에 가족치유가 이루어진 것을 알 수 있었다.

This paper is based on the study of Shin Saimdang's method of family healing. Since Shin Saimdang is a representative woman who has practiced familyism in the history of Korea, to be a representative woman who managed her household exemplary. Recently, in our society, individualistic values come out and traditional familism away. and this phenomenon reads to many family disbanding. But now, We nearly have nothing about this. The problem of family and individual is not one way, but interplay. If the state of one way sustains, it can make family disbanding. Because it may be different how to treats family conflict according to belief of family and solving style of problem, This problem bring this research, and I embarked on this research for the improvement of family functions by studying the expression factors of family healing in the family management method of Shin Saimdang. This research has meaning in the analysis of the thought and practice of family healing areas among the field of philosophical healing in broad. With that in mind, I first considered the idea of familism and filial piety as the background of her study, and Later, she focused on her family's record of 『All the Books of Yulgok』 written by her son Yulgok. The result showed that her family healing method was the practice of moral training and home management resulting from the idea of love, and that it was done after self-healing was preceded.
