The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of pilates exercise on body image in 126 dancers. Data was analyzed using one-way ANOVA of time (before and after). Dependent variables were in pilates exercise program during fifteen weeks showed positive change of body image(appearance valuation, exercise effect of influence, dressing up, social subordination, health physical strength valuation, height dissatisfaction).
The results obtained procedure indicated that the consecutive pilates exercise positively impacted on body related factor such as psychological appearance and body image balance. And consecutive pilates exercise positively effected psychological factors such as body image variables.
