본 연구는 다문화 사회의 시대적 흐름에 맞추어 이주배경 청소년이 증가함에 따라 학교폭력에서의 상담사의 상호문화 감수성이 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이는 상호문화 감수성이 교사와 일반 시민을 대상으로 연구한 선행연구들에 비해 상담사의 상호문화 감수성에 대한 연구가 많지 않기 때문에 본 연구에 의의가 있다. 연구 방법으로는 정부부처의 통계자료 및 선행연구들을 바탕으로 학교 교사, 청소년 상담관련 전문가들을 대상으로 설문지와 심층면담으로 연구하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 이주배경 청소년에 대한 전반적인 이해 및 담당 교사와 상담사들의 상호문화 감수성 관련 교육이 필요하다. 둘째, 학교폭력 사안 시 특별 전담인력의 연계가 필요하다. 마지막으로 이주배경 청소년들의 학교폭력 피해 예방을 위해서는 상호문화교육을 학생, 학부모, 교사, 상담사 등에게 정기적으로 실시해야 한다. 본 연구는 면접 참여자들을 질적 연구로 실시하여 지역설정 및 소수의 인원으로 심층면접이 이루어졌다. 후속연구가 나온다면, 양적연구를 통해 많은 담당자들에 대한 연구도 필요할 것으로 보인다.

This research is to examine the effects of a counselor's intercultural sensitivity on school violence as Korea is facing growing number of migrant background youths in the country. In terms of research methods, based on the already existing statistical data from government and prior researches from other scholars, this paper conducted a survey as well as in-depth interviews targeting youth counseling specialists. The results of this study require an overall understanding of migrant background youths and education related to interculture sensitivity of teachers and counselors in charge. Second, special personnel are needed in case of school violence. Finally, in order to prevent damage to school violence among migrant background youths, intercultural education should be provided regularly to students, parents, teachers and counselors. This research conducted qualitative research on interview participants, and in-depth interviews were conducted with local settings and a small number of people. If follow-up studies are available, studies of many people in charge will also be needed through quantitative research.
